	Provides riding instruction to students beginning 10 years of age through adults. Avid equestrian for decades.
	Actively seeks continuing education of building upon her equestrian knowledge.
	Patient and kind teaching style.
	Former student of RFD-TV's Ed Dabney, nationally known horseman.
	Selected as part of a team organized by Ed Dabney to train horses at the Chateau de la Boulaye, Cerisy-la-Foret, France.
	My goal in teaching is to provide a safe and fun lesson in which riders learn the correct way to balance and to control the horse. This gives them the knowledge to be able to ride safely in ways they choose to ride, whether it be trails, competition, or arena work.

Teaching beginner and intermediate levels:

	Resistance Free English and Western riding.
	Riding with proper posture to maintain good balance and rhythm.

A sample of things you will learn include:

	Horse handling safety.
	Horsemanship basics including how to properly move a horse on the ground.
	Proper grooming, tacking and leading.
	The cue system.

We will also cover:

	Why and how a horse should be lunged.
	Proper posting techniques.
	Round pen exercises, with and without the rider.
	How the horse "thinks" in preparation for handling, and riding the horse safely.

And based on your riding goals:

The importance of Flat work in preparation for Jumping.

Trail riding techniques for a safer trail ride including negotiating obstacles, and trail etiquette.
